![]() Guess I had it on my old build and forgot about it or the system managed the fans but now does not. I download Afterburner and tweak the fan settings. ![]() Sure enough, I get home and my gpu fans only spin on start-up. He liked that idea and asked me to download MSI afterburner (since my R9 is an MSI card). ![]() The heat was sticking in the core rather than being dissipated into the case and extracted by the fans. If that was the case, it would explain why old games and 2D games worked and would explain why the case felt cool while I was getting crashes and BSODs and RSODs. I remembered on some of these forums that videocard fans stopped turning on for some people after 1703 build of Windows. Of course I was like "I built the machine to be cooler, and the side of the case doesn't get nearly as hot as it used to get." He urged me to download GPUZ. We ran down the list of symptoms and once he understood I was crashing about 10-15 minutes into newer games, he said "HEAT". He was a knowledgeable guy and kind and I could understand him. I finally called AMD (during work hours) and got to talk to a tech. I tried EVERYTHING I could find, but nothing was doing the trick. But probably they go directly to ADVENT to create the perfect bug out of all this data scum.To tie up some loose ends, I am using the 17.4.4 drivers on Windows 10 build 1703 and I haven't had any more crashes. If I ever see someone without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ legs flying around my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garden I will knock him down with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shovel before he can crash the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ world.Īh, of course I sent a few logs to wherever X-Com sends them. If it makes the mysterious melee attack everything ♥♥♥♥♥ up. Restartet the mission on a new map but the ending remains similiar. Finally it starts some melee attack (that I actually could not see until now) and the game chrashes with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pure virtual function being called while application was running (gisrunning = 1). It makes a bit devastating and its "hurl somebody up and ram him down" thing. Now I am stuck in the first fight with the archon boss. Got Windows to supply virtual RAM on every partition, too, but could not make out a difference. Some times using no customizations out of Shens Last Gift and Alien Hunters seemed as a good workaround. Working around with rebooting and loading worked for a while. Got this error a couple of times in different occassions. I am playing without mods, only vanilla + the three official dlcs. If i wasnt about to be father, i'd kiss you, thanks again, you are a hero! Sir, you are a life saver ! i gained 25 - 30% of Vram with your technique! my suggestion now, take this post, make a topic or a guide with that, and enjoy the lots of "thank you" you'll receive. If you couldnt follow just google on how to increase your virtual memory under windows 10. I believe you need to restart your pc after you changed this setting. I just pressed the second option and let windows 10 decide how much virtual RAM it needs. You should now be able to change the virtual RAM size. Now it should display your virtual RAM size. Then again click on the second tab which should be called "advanced" tooģ. click the third left tab which should be something called like "advanced". Press enter after it or select the SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe which should appear as a result (It did work even on my german windows 10 version)Ģ. ![]() just open the windows start menu and type "SystemPropertiesAdvanced" in the search box. The problem is that i changed my windows 10 to appear like windows 7 so this way might not work for you but i believe it should:ġ. You have the exact same problem as i did and its pretty easy to fix. What should i / can i do to lower the memory usage?
